Dubai

We arrived into Dubai from Singapore. The airport was huge! With the queue for passports taking around 30 minutes.
Leaving we fell for the trap that normal taxis don’t have credit card machines and were ushered into a higher price one. Take note! We paid £18 for the taxi to golden sands apartments which took around 15 minutes.
It was clear straight away that Dubai was spread over quite a large area.
During our stay here we went to aqua adventure park and Atlantis and wild wadi at jumeirah. Both cost around £50 to get in. The parks were both quite quiet. The one at Atlantis had extensive works going on with many rides and pools closed. Wild wadi was good with surf machines, a large wave pool and fun group rides. There was no water fountains at wild wadi so you spend a lot in a day especially if your a family. A meal cost around £12.
Ski Dubai in the Emirates mall was epic! Kept at minus 4 degrees we did our first ever ski lesson.
There were plans to go up the burj khalifa but these were squashed when it was sold out for the 3 days we were there so book before you travel!!
On the last evening we did a desert safari which was great fun with quad biking, dune bashing, camel rides and a dinner in the Desert. It was around a 1 hour transfer.
Dubai was really good, very clean and everyone we met was helpful. Again like Singapore alcohol was pretty non existent.
We couldn’t help but eat in the cheese cake factory in the Dubai mall which was just like in America very tasty and around £16 each.
