Travel Tips! Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand

Tuk tuks are a good way to navigate the city locally. Uber also works here.

Floating market- many souvenirs and food options, prices noticeably higher than the rest of Thailand.

Grand palace- 500thb very impressive but busy.

Lumphini park – nice park to walk around with lizards 3-4ft long!

We stayed in Khaoson road, its perfect if you want to party in Bangkok not if you want to sleep.

Chiang Mai, Thailand

Plan your time! There is so many activites in Chiang Mai.

Mama Noi cooking school was epic! So much food and you go round a food market first to see the fresh food.

Try the street food, some of the best id had in Thailand marinated chicken sticks just 10bht!

We used a tour agent to book all the events to get a discount.

Trekking- we did a 2 day one it wasnt great. In February the water rafting was like a stream and the elephants looked sad.

Long neck tribe- this was basically a market.

UGO bar- excellent food and drink next to the thai boxing arena.

Phoenix adventure park- good fun zip lining with a meal included.

Elephant parks- choose carefully. We went to one where you just feed and bath the elephants it was great.

Night market- Huge!! Check it out.

Pai, Thailand

If getting the bus from Chiang Mai purchase travel sick pills. 729 bends in the road.

Rent a scooter to get around ours cost £14 for 3 days with full insurance.

If searching for happy shakes – sunset bar.

Khao Sok, Thailand

3.5hrs ride from Surat Thani… do not sit in the back row- the engine is here making it crazy hot.

night safari- you see a few spiders, birds and snakes but not that great overall. Nature is all down to luck.

day tour to Ratchaprapha dam- amazing, scenery is off the scale, great boat ride, swim stops and a trek. Great value.

Ao nang, Thailand

Trip to James Bond island- very busy, took a while to get there, maybe better doing it from Phuket.

Railay beach- 200thb return on a taxi boat, we spent time on Penang beach which was actually alot nicer.

Krabi night market, good food. Size wise 1/5th of the one in Chiang Mai.

Airport- the worst ive been in. It was boiling, toilets were filthy. Water was 45thb! 5 times higher than anywhere we had been in Thailand.
