Milan, Italy

When you think of Milan you think of fashion and of course this stunning cathedral.

I’ve been to Milan a handful of times. This was the quietest I’ve seen it due to the recent covid pandemic. The cathedral is really an amazing view. Just next to it is the famous shopping mall Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

It was very hot when I visited and humid. Last time I visited Milan was during the winter when it gets very chilly. I took a walk to the Sforzesco Castle which was very impressive. It’s the first time I’ve seen it, there’s a great park area which is a perfect spot for a take away aperol spritz or an ice cream.

I was really surprised how many restaurants were closed. I guess this was down to the lack of tourists. It was my last night of my trip and I dined at miscusi. The carbonara was unreal.

Milan is a great place for a city break, make sure you spend at least a day popping up to the stunning lake Como.
